Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Senator Kamina Johnson Smith, said the US Embassy in Kingston has assured her that “Jamaica’s status has not changed” despite the US State Department issuing a level two travel advisory for the country. The advisory tells its citizens to exercise increased caution in Jamaica due to crime. Policeman hit from bicycle | News

January 12, 2018  A police officer was rushed to hospital after being hit from his patrol bicycle in the vicinity of the Half-Way Tree Transport centre, yesterday. Following the incident, crime scene tape was placed at the scene. When THE WEEKEND STAR contacted the Constabulary Communications Unit, they said that it was protocol for the tape to be put at the scene.
